Fernando Cobelo (Venezuela, 1988) is an illustrator known for his clean, defined, and essential lines, often carrying a childlike simplicity. His work explores a universe filled with surreal dreams and very real nightmares, expressed through a naïve yet profound visual language, allowing viewers to find fragments of themselves within his illustrations. His art provokes thought, stirs emotions, and transports us into a world of fascinating personal encounters.
This emotional approach has led him to collaborate with The New York Times, the United Nations, Google, Penguin Random House, The Wall Street Journal, TED, Walt Disney Studios, Corriere della Sera, UNICEF, Vanity Fair, Lavazza, Zanichelli, Montblanc, Barilla, Lonely Planet, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, WeTransfer, and Swatch. His work has also been recognized by the Association of Illustrators, Autori di Immagini, and American Illustration, among other major institutions in the field.
In education, Fernando has taught and led various workshops and lectures at IED, LUISS, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, and international institutions across Mexico, India, Russia, China, Venezuela, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
