Bio
Francesco Chiacchio was born in Florence in 1981.
He has illustrated albums, posters, and books, collaborating with various publishing houses, including Orecchio Acerbo, Topipittori, Rizzoli Lizard, and Salani. From 2010 to 2012, he illustrated the cultural pages of La Repubblica di Firenze. In 2021, he was selected to participate in Ilustrarte, the International Biennial of Illustration for Children, and in 2022, he was invited to exhibit at the Illustri Festival in the Basilica Palladiana of Vicenza.
Since 2021, he has been creating cartoons for L’Essenziale, the weekly magazine curated by Internazionale.
Francesco loves to cultivate words in his "orto-grafia" (a play on words mixing "horticulture" and "orthography"), watering them with different signs, watching them grow from afar, and finally harvesting them in a drawing.
