Bio
Mattias Adolfsson lives in a small town called Sigtuna, outside Stockholm, Sweden. He has a master’s degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts. He worked for ten years in video game development and 3D modeling before transitioning to illustration in 2007.
For about half of his time, he works on commissions, while the rest is dedicated to personal projects, creating original artworks and books. He has collaborated with clients worldwide, participating in art, book, and music festivals.
He has worked for Psyop TV, WIRED, Atelier Choux, Google, Ragdoll Limited, Die Weltwoche, Wired Italy, The New Yorker, Dance Gavin Dance, HHMI, Arnold, Carlton Books, Nickelodeon, The Hollywood Reporter, Cartoon Network, Lowe Vietnam, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, Disney, DDB, IBM, Chipotle, Area 23, Norwegian State Railways, Amnesty International, Dali Speakers, Heye Puzzle, and Mac Guff.
He has won The Heavy Music Award, Little Hakka Award, AOI (Association of Illustrators) World Illustration Award, Hiii Illustration 2016, American Illustrator, Most Beautiful Book Award with Second in Line, 3×3 Show, and Kolla!
