Loes Riphagen (1983) grew up among animals on a farm in Oene, a small village in the heart of the Netherlands. Together with her twin brother, she moved to Rotterdam to study at the Willem de Kooning Academy. Currently, Loes lives and works in Heerde.

In 2008, Loes Riphagen debuted with the book Night-Time-Bedroom-Creatures. Her cheerful and unique illustrations have always impressed the public, the press, and juries. Loes is widely recognized for the beauty and detail of her illustrations.

Her work has been published in various countries, including Italy, Turkey, Colombia, Japan, Switzerland, Vietnam, Iran, France, Spain, Russia, Germany, the United States, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, China, Korea, Taiwan, Portugal, and Slovenia.
