Since childhood, Mattia has been passionate about drawing and the fine arts. He actively attended drawing and painting courses and graduated from the "Scuola Pubblica d'Arte di Venezia." During his years of study, he participated in and won several competitions organized by the school.
After earning his degree in painting decoration, he moved to Milan to continue his studies at the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), where he received a scholarship for the three-year course in visual communication. He later specialized in illustration and is now part of the graphic team at United Colors Of Benetton, where for 10 years he has been working on illustrations for the children's sector.
At the same time, he continues to work as a freelance illustrator. In recent years, he has collaborated with Goppion Caffè, Garance e Marion, Fallani Venezia, and the magazine Brillo, for which he created and illustrated the "Mattia Riami's Color Column." Color is his world: Mattia loves experimenting and playing with colors, always in search of new harmonies.
In his work, Mattia has always sought to combine his studies in traditional techniques with the new digital techniques available today. His works synthesize these two worlds, making them indispensable to one another.
