Mattia Riami has been passionate about drawing and visual arts since childhood. He actively attended drawing and painting courses and earned his high school diploma at the "Scuola Pubblica d'Arte di Venezia." During his studies, he participated in and won several competitions organized by the school.
After graduating in decorative painting, he moved to Milan to continue his studies at the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), where he received a scholarship for a three-year course in visual communication. He then specialized in illustration and is now part of the graphic team at United Colors of Benetton, where for the past 10 years, he has worked on illustrations for the children's sector.
At the same time, Mattia continues his work as a freelance illustrator. In recent years, he has collaborated with Goppion Caffè, Garance and Marion, Fallani Venezia, and with the magazine Brillo, for which he created and illustrated the “rubrica dei colori di Mattia Riami”. Color is his world: Mattia loves to experiment and play with colors, always seeking new harmonies.
In his work, Mattia has always aimed to combine his studies in traditional techniques with the new digital techniques available today. His works synthesize these two worlds, making them indispensable to each other.
