Francesco Ciaponi
SCHOLAR, CONSULTANT AND STORYTELLER OF THE HISTORY OF GRAPHICS AND INDEPENDENT PUBLISHING
Scholar, consultant and storyteller of the history of graphics and independent publishing, he organizes seminars and workshops on the history of publishing and graphics with reference to the underground and independent phenomenon.
He graduated in History of the Press and Publishing at the University of Pisa with a thesis entitled “Mondo Beat: the birth of underground publishing in Italy”.
He also founded, together with Andrea Pacini, Italian Poster Rock Art, an Italian poster art archive.
He is a contributors to Polpettas Magazine with interviews to illustrators and designers from all over the world.
Since 2016 he has directed Edizioni del Frisco: a small independent publishing house.
He edited and published the volume “The Big Lebowski Art Collection”, a collection of illustrations and graphics by 68 illustrators from all over the world inspired by the film of the same name.
